sorry for bringing this post up but I'm having the same issue, I was able to open SW 2016 SP2 in less than 10 seconds, now that I installed SW 2019 SP3 it takes around 6 minutes to start and most of that time it stays on "Initializing VBA Engine" and "Starting Solid Works", once the program opens there is no issues at all, I also noticed when I go to Tools > Add-ins it takes a while to open that tab aswell, did you find a solution to your problem? Hi I am having poor performance in solidworks 2017 as well, Its a new installation I had 2016 running very smoothly on the same setup but I remember enabling 3d hardware acceleration in my 2016 installation but I don't see any KB about doing the same for solidworks 2017. SolidWorks now has what’s called a Fast Start option. You commode browse element much AS you want, as long as you want.

I have a new machine, and a fresh install of Solidworks 2019. I installed SOLIDWORKS a day ago, but couldn't get it to even start up due to it always crashing at that stage. Solidworks 2019 slow startup All Programs > Startup.
